TOUR SUMMARY

This tour is a combination of our best selling Amsterdam tours (the Amsterdam Bike Tour and the Amsterdam Food Walk)

On this 6 hours Amsterdam tour, we’ll weave our way both on two feet and two wheels through the city’s history and growth, with plenty of tasty stops along the way. You begin your Amsterdam explorer by hopping on a Dutch bike. We ride through Amsterdam’s past and present by starting in downtown and then making our way out to the northern dijks (dykes). Along the way, we stop by historic sites in the financial district and get an up-close look at the city’s defence lines, learn how windmills, canals and walls helped build this nation and its people. We learn about the local rules of cycling and understanding local bike culture as well. After returning our bikes, we continue to the well-deserved food tasting section of the day, it’s time to fill our stomach. We will make our way to visit the Spui square and the southern part of Amsterdam’s old city centre. You’ll find out why locals love snacking on hot, salty vlaams friets by trying some yourself. We’ll also taste delicious sausages and will not miss out on eating some puffed-up pancakes either. While walking the streets of downtown, your local guide tells some interesting stories about the city. The last stop of our experience is in an old Dutch pub where we will have a sip of a traditional liquor.

Our Amsterdam tour will conclude here, but you’re free to keep exploring the area — we can give you some local tips so your Amsterdam adventure doesn’t have to end just yet.
